Selection Process: The Two-Stage Hurdle

Stage 1: Stenography Skill Test (Qualifying)

  • Junior Scale Stenographer: 100 WPM (English) / 80 WPM (Hindi).

  • Software: Typing will be conducted on computers using Kruti Dev 10 for Hindi and Arial for English.

Stage 2: Written Examination (OMR Based)

The merit list is prepared based on this offline test.

  • Total Questions: 100 MCQs

  • Time Duration: 105 Minutes

  • Negative Marking: No negative marking for wrong answers. However, failing to fill the 5th option for unattempted questions will result in a 1-mark deduction.

  • Subject-Related (Stenography/Shorthand Theory): 70%

  • General Awareness & Reasoning: 20%

  • Computer Knowledge: 10%
