Candidates must have passed 10th grade (Secondary) from RBSE/CBSE or equivalent, plus an ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) or NAC in a relevant trade:
- Group I: Electrician / Power Electrician / Wireman / Lineman / SBA.
- Group II: Electronics Mechanic / COPA.
- Group III: Boiler Attendant / Steam Turbine Cum Auxiliary Plant Operator.
